Meet Tracy Turner

With more than 25 years of experience in the medical coding and healthcare revenue cycle industry, Tracy Turner has built an accomplished professional career rooted in accuracy, compliance, education, auditing, and real-world coding application. Her background spans physician coding, inpatient coding, emergency department coding, professional auditing, coding instruction, documentation review, and coding leadership support.

Tracy created Skillful Coding Techniques Learning Labs from a true passion for helping others grow. After years of seeing talented coders struggle with confidence, employer assessments, E/M leveling, CPT® code selection, documentation interpretation, and real-world coding scenarios, she developed Learning Labs to bridge the gap between certification knowledge and practical workplace readiness.

Her teaching style is clear, direct, supportive, and application-focused. Tracy does not simply teach participants which code to choose; she teaches them how to think through the documentation, apply coding guidelines, recognize audit risks, and understand why the selected code is supported. Her goal is to help coders move from uncertainty to confidence and from memorization to true coding understanding.

Through her Learning Labs, Tracy shares the knowledge, lessons, and professional insight gained throughout her career to help CPC®, CPC-A®, experienced coders, auditors, and healthcare professionals sharpen their skills, prepare for employer assessments, strengthen resume and interview readiness, and improve real-world coding performance.
